well, I think there's two kinds of posts:

- some have scheduled ends like : What will be the next hype at MW 2010? after Macworld everyone will KNOW making the thread only interesting to look what might have come up... but certainly not to add further musings over what will happen...

- others like "Do You like the look and feel of the new aluminum Keyboard?" are rather diffusely scheduled to be closed when this certain hardware/ topic is so much out of focus that noone talks about it, practically- then the thread can be closed,say, after noone posted anything for two-three months?

- again others are rather all time discussions that should simply remain open- but even for these things there should be a cutoff of maybe closing after being not used for the last 6months or so...
