Well, I got a response from Ken on one of the other forums I am a member of. Here's his response and my reply:

Mike,

First off, thanks for trying out Mac OS Ken: Day 6. That really means a lot to me.

Now… to your point of $2.50 per show… I do not try to argue that you are actually paying for all six episodes. What I have said repeatedly is, Mac OS Ken: Day 6 is extra content for people who want to subscribe and support Mac OS Ken. If you accept that premise (and I hope you do since… well… that is my intent) it averages out to $0.42 per show.

I made a deal with listeners two years ago this week: I’ll bring you Apple related news, five days a week at no cost to you. I am committed to keeping the daily show free as long as I am able to produce the daily show. At the same time, Mac OS Ken: Day 6 goes a long way to making sure that the daily show can continue. If you want to support that, great. If not, the daily show is still there for you.

Again, thank you for trying it out.

Ken

PS - Did you receive my eMail about the remaining episodes? (Ken has reopened my subscription so I can get episodes 7 and 8 - he says there is a computer systems issue)

Hi Ken - and welcome to the Forum!!

Yes, thanks - I did receive your email and look forward to listening to shows 7 and 8.

As for the price, as you'll see from earlier posts on this thread, the price just isn't right for some of us. I love you man - you rock - but $10 is a bit steep. $5 per month ($2 preferably but that is probably too small an amount for you) would be so much better and I think you'd probably make up in volume what you lose in price. Of course, I can't prove that and I know that messing around with the price would be a real pain in the butt and could annoy those who are paying $10 happily.

Anyway, good luck with the venture and if you do drop the price, I will re-subscribe (or if my wife gets a job, I'll re-subscribe without the price drop!).
