Cool 'iView' Concept From Nuno Teixeira of Yanko Designs

When I saw this one I literally said 'wow'. Ok, maybe I didn't say it out loud, but I was certainly thinking it. Built with a curved/wrap-around style screen and monitor on the back (not sure if this is really needed?) this iMac concept is the brainchild of designer Nuno Teixeira of Yanko Design. Very cool indeed... I could see myself sitting in front of one of these. But I'm thinking it should be at least a 40" screen for the 'curve' of the screen to hold some utility. What do you think?

Yeah i literally said the same thing, Wow! It would be like you're in the computer, plus i especially love the disk drive. I don't even want to try to imagine what it costs though.

It's beautiful, but it needs to be wider. Seriously, why not just go all the way.
Total video surround. Now that would be COOL!, Outloud even!!!

Take the said monitor, and add 2 more, total 3, that would be cool.
or 5, screens. 1 Center, then 2 on each side flanking the main center screen, which would be wider than the 4 flanking ones.

I'm rambling...
Sorry.

I could see this as a benefit for sim games that require a wider view. This would be wonderful at my office hooked up to the flight simulator.

Another great design inspired by Apple. But a monitor in the back? That doesn't sound very practical...

Wow, great concept. Won't surprise me if we start to see stuff like this in the next few years. Sony has developed what they call an 'organic' LED (OLED). I just saw one at the Sony store & the colour just took my breath away (unfortunately it's only an 11" display). The display is only about 1cm thick, you have to see it to believe it.
