Yeah, the apps are pretty nice, but it's not much compared to the choices already available for Jailbroken devices. In fact, in case anybody might find this useful, there already is a web-based mobile AIM app called TinyBuddy. (It has limitations, but it's pretty brill.)

And now I see what you mean by the ads. I think I've heard that referred to as a splash screen before, but it makes sense that developers would do that. I hope they don't. Hopefully Apple will discourage it.
