yeah i noticed this on another forum. uggh i thought there were actually going to be "free" apps but I'm not to fond of the idea of pop-up ads. Thats the thing i enjoy about cell phone internet browsing, no pop-ups. but since i guess the "free" ones are "free", they deserve to advertise their better products.

First off, I doubt that we will be seeing any "pop-ups" simply because there is no up for them to pop to, and there is not the same concept of windows that the full sized OS has. There still might be some adware; there are apps now on Installer embedded with Google Adsense. I don't however, expect a lot of this in the future. This is because adware for iPhone and iPod Touch is just too awkward. We will probably just end up with freeware, shareware, and donationware. I just don't see how Apple is going to manage DRM...

I assumed that there would be applications that would be a small fee. Apple at this present time already charges iPod Touch users a fee to upgrade their iPod Touch with the latest software. Why would an application be any different. I'm assuming there may also be some donation-ware applications as well as entirely free applications.
