iPhone Battery Life
I just read Mr. Mayor's article on his disappointment with the iPhone battery life. While I do not have an iPhone yet, I certainly can relate to the headache of a dead cell phone battery.
A device that I noticed while watching the online coverage of Macworld was FastMac's iV for the iPhone. FastMac | Product - iPhone External Battery Pack This certainly is a device that I plan on purchasing when my wife and I have to go for a new phones. This devices has a battery at gives the iPhone additional battery life. It also has a built in light that can be used as a light for the camera, or as a flashlight at night. It also has a USB port for charging other devices if needed and a docking port so that if you have a dock or a connector cable you want to plug into the iphone you can. |

:O Really nice.
About ppl complaining about baterylife, I'm pretty sure they just don't take care of it corerctly, like for example, I used to charge my old celphone every day, so that it would be at full charge always, with time, battery wasn't lasting that long. Then I was told that it's bad to charge batteries if they are not completely (or almost) drained, so when I now with this cellphone I got, I charge it just when it's on the last bar, and belive me, it does work.

Mr. Mayor is COMPLETELY right about the battery life and it's not from a lack of taking care of the battery.
My iPhone battery cannot go an entire day without shutting itself off and giving me the power sign which renders my phone unusable until I can find a charge. It's ridiculous. I've even become accustomed to carrying my charger around with me in my bag so that I can plug in whenever I get the opportunity. Trust me, my battery is always fully drained when I charge it and it's been this way since I bought it. The battery packs are all so gaudy. The iPhone is not a tiny phone to begin with (which is good!) and I doubt it'd even fit into my jean pockets with an added accessory that bulky. |
