WWDC Keynote Address

So, the WWDC Keynote is coming up on Monday. What do you folks think... what announcements is 'his Steveness' going to make?

We already know the 3G iPhone is a lock, but what else? Do you think there are going to be any surprises? Do they have something up their sleeve?

I made a short 'wish list' of what I'd like to see announced here:

What do YOU think?

That was a super boring Keynote....But there were some great announcements!

~iPhone 3G $199 for 8GB Black and $299 for 16GB Black or White

~Great Apps for the new App Store

~Scientific calculator for iPhone & iPod Touch 2.0 Firmware

~OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard (even though i wish they would have elaborated on the features a little more)

Sad announcements -

~$9.95 for 2.0 firmware upgrade for the iPod Touch (even though it is cheaper than the $19.99 January update, it still should cost nothing....)

~Mobile Me service. I feel it's kind of pointless....

~In-store only purchase and activation of the iPhone 3G

Any other thoughts?

ipodtoucher,

I'm with you on your points there for sure.

Perhaps what I'm most excited about is the App Store. So much opportunity there for developers to make some good money! Will be interesting to see how it plays out. Can't wait for it to launch.

The $9.95 upgrade for the Touch isn't TOO bad. Last time around at Macworld in January, the software update was $19.95 if my memory serves me right. This time around they've cut the price in half, which seems to be the theme of the day (half-price iPhone 3G in comparison to the original model)

I'm not excited about 'Mobile Me' either... but I bet you it will do well.

I think it will too. The only reason i would want it is to use the photo galleries... But I will use the 60 day trail to see if i will really use it.

Exactly, but as friends have explained to me, iPhone users pay month to month and iPod Touch users only pay the one-time purchase fee. but I agree with Mr. Mayor, $9.95 isn't truely that bad, but to pay $9.95 for the upgrade and then pay for additional apps is a bit much... I'll probably end up paying for it anyway haha
