That's good to hear (or should that be read?).

I'm back in the UK after my vacation and once I've caught up with everything I've missed (over 130 podcasts and 2574 RSS feeds!) I will get back on the forums.

i am disappointed with the lack of a numberpad. i ended up buying a seperate one and going with the wireless keyboard. i found that when i did take advantage of the "wirelessness" of the keyboard i never really used the numberpad, but i don't think i could live without it (particularly because all my passwords are numbers, and rather than memorizing the numbers of them, i have memorized the motion of my hand when i put them into the numberpad)

I hear ya there. Do miss the number pad terribly, but am getting along well with my wireless keyboard. Haven't switched back to my corded keyboard w/number pad... yet

weird thing really, it seems to depend on how much You are in need of entering number after number or aren't touch-typing... me having bought the normal aluminum keyboard with number pad and touch-typing all the time find myself hardly ever using this part of the keyboard... since using the number block means moving my right hand while entering via the number line above the keyboard is blindly working it is more of an effort to use it...

You say that, but i love my touch typing, and i've entered large amounts of numerical data before, so when it comes to even a string of numbers of 3 or more i'm on that number pad because i know that i can enter it quicker on that than on the normal keyboard.

I hear ya. I still catch myself sometimes moving my hand off to the right where the number pad would be... Think there may be marks on my desk from the repeated tapping by my fingertips. Maybe it's time to switch back.
