mabsey,
I'm completely with you on this one! I have the older wired apple keyboard with number pad, and recently picked up a wireless keyboard. While I love the wireless one, I've found that I too miss the number pad as well. I've kept my old keyboard close by, just in case. I can see myself switching back/forth depending on different tasks I need to do! |

I can't live without a number pad, as soon as i saw the wireless one didn't come with it i was disappointed, as i loved my old wireless keyboard. Not really sure if i like the apple might mouse, the right click is crap and i keep pressing those buttons on the side, but i'm giving it the benefit of the doubt for now.

Yeah I hear ya on the number pad. Still so dissapointed about that but I'm sure a version of the keyboard with number pad will come down the pipe.
In regards to the mighty mouse, I agree, to a point. At first I was having the same issues... Didn't like the way it felt, was clicking the wrong buttons and stuff... But over time I think the thing 'grew' on me, and I actually don't mind using it now. I have all kinds of mice, don't really have one I use regularly... The mighty mouse is definitely in the mix. |

I really like the wired mighty mouse - it is light and easy to use (at least in my hand). The wireless one isn't as great - the bluetooth on it eats batteries, it is quite heavy and often needs to be turned off and back on again to get the right-click function working again (at least on two of the wireless mice I've had, this has been the case).

what can I say? first of all, I agree to all the pro-wired statements and want to add another- I was deciding on a second of the new aluminium keyboards for home... they are THAT addictive in terms of merely a touch to type ;-) I considered buying the wireless one but tested it and found it to have a lag in typing when You start typing- I don't know about You folks out there, but instant responsiveness is one of the major things I learned loving when switching to the Mac- and found I could never ever again go without that...
So this is a warning to all the older Mac hardware out there: if You are an older device only sporting Bluetooth 1.1 and are like me the more uncompromising instant type of guy, FORGET wireless input methods as fast as you thought of it- I mean come on! when will You ever use Your keyboard from the bed?
