New 16GB iPhone and 32GB iPod Touch

Anyone going to pick up one of the new 16GB iPhones or 32GB iPod Touches?

Or perhaps you've already placed your order?

Haven't made a move on either at this end, but I'm sure there must be some interesting takes on these new offerings. More storage space is always better if the price is right!

While I believe that one's in need for storage space after much too short a while of being content with it, I do not see the point to replace my iphone yet...

You simply change, and Your habits with You... i remember a time where I needed to carry my whole music with me, no way around this...and now everything is just fine with 8GB...no desire for more!

Are you guys planning to make the transition to iPhone 3G? If so, are you going to settle for the 8GB, or make the jump to 16GB?

16 GB because its not that much more. Of course I will have my music and portfolio on it.

You think that paying 50% more ($100) is "not that much more"?

I'm more than happy with the 8 GB cause I don't need that much and it's cheaper also

I would love to get a 32 gb iTouch, but seeing how practical an iPhone is, I may go that route. As mention in another thread, I'm really quite happy with my iPod 3g, plenty of space, solid, doesn't really hold a charge anymore, but it's enough for a workout at the gym a few times a week. So, a 32gb iTouch would be nice, an iPhone would be better, even if the phone were disabled, having the gps is pretty cool.

Am I rambling?

If you are going to go that route, be prepared to pay an addition $400 for the iPhone 3G. ($599 for 8GB, $699 for 16GB) They cannot be sold without being activated(unless you pay the $400 premium, let alone finding one).
