Time Capsule - Why oh Why?

Wouldn't you know it, a month or so ago I picked up a 500GB drive to connect to my network. The thing works great and I have no issues at all.

I DID wonder why my base station couldn't have a hard drive in it, as this would remove the need for another external device to hook up to the network.

Low and behold, Time Capsule comes along and fills that need.

I won't be buying one, but I can see how it would be attractive to purchase... Especially if you want an improved, simplified home network AND data backup capabilities.

MMM - man do I know what you mean...I've never wanted so much from just one company...mentally I'll go from MBP to a cinema display to go with it, to the Time Capsule, to an iMac, then's it's keyboard...and like the Energizer bunny, it keeps going and going...

I totally agree with you. So much is great with Apple. I really wanted the Time Capsule, when I decided it was time to get a backup drive, but didn't have the extra money to shell out.
