What's it going to be? We've heard so many rumors here that we almost can't stand it anymore

I keep hearing more and more about the touchscreen tablet... Could that be it?

I hope we get an improved AppleTV with (iTunes 8?) rentals. I'd also love a 12" or smaller MacBook Pro as my 17" is too large to carry around and I don't want a MacBook. Touchscreen would be nice but it wouldn't be a deal breaker for me.

16GB iPhone is very likely, IMHO.

I'm with you on the AppleTV. Do not currently own one, but with the right changes (rentals would be ideal) I'd consider picking one up!

I also hope for an improvement on the AppleTV, but my main interest is whether or not we'll see a simple bumping of the specs for the MacBook Pro or a complete redesign. The latter is certainly an interesting proposition... only time will tell!

I seem to recall reading about staffers walking around the Apple offices with new platinum or carbon fiber notebooks (can't remember which)... So a redesign of the MacBook Pro is a definite possibility!

I am yet to get a apple notebook, and would be happy that I waited if an ultra-portable (ultra powerful ) device came to be a reality.

Dream Rant:

I could imagine a full size touchscreen keyboard - it doesn't seem logical but I think its not a totally stupid idea. Think of the possibilities - custom buttons for movie editing etc. People would get used to it after a while - touch typing is based on your home fingers placed on F and J which usually have a small bump on the keys - maybe a invisible tiny bump on the screen for home keys.

I don't want/need a Optical/DVD Drive! USB mem sticks are much more easier and can hold more than a dvd. If you want to watch a DVD just rip with Handbrake. HandBrake
The Whole idea of itunes/itv/ipod is to keep everything digital anyways. No more burning!

I suspect a version of Leopard will be released - the new "macbook touch" running leopard-touch.

I hope they dont just make the tackpad larger and add more features to it. UNLESS they make the trackpad a lcd touch screen.

I have a couple of contacts that are going to be attending CES... Should be very interesting to see what goes on down there.
