Safari and iTunes on the PC

Mike Bradbrook wrote quite a good post about iTunes suggesting a Safari install to PC users... you can read it here:

Apple Pushing Safari on Windows | Mactropolis.com - Your Friendly Global Mac Community

I've got no problem with it. If the PC user has iTunes installed, they are fair game in my opinion. And it's not like Apple is FORCING the install down their throat.

It's so interesting to watch Apple keep chipping away at the PC in ways like these. I wonder where we'll be in 5 years

I gotta say firefox is better than safari on pc, at least it gives me better experience.
About iTunes, the alternatives are just not that good, I tried sunbird and rythmbox, didn't give me a good experience.

Safari vs. Firefox

I have to agree that Firefox is a better all-around browser on the PC. I installed the latest version of Firefox (3.0) and so far it has some great improvements. The one that caught my attention is bookmarks management...they've really made improvements on adding, arranging, deleting, even scrolling through bookmarks is a better experience than any other browser IMO.

In fact, I only use Safari as the "browser that I use to sync my iPhone bookmarks to"...so that I could have iPhone-specific bookmarks on Safari that I could manage/organize either on my iPhone or Safari.

That was until I drowned my iPhone...
