ZiPhone Jailbreak, Unlock and Activation App

Has anyone else out there used ZiPhone? Ran it today on an iPhone we had kicking around the office. MAN, is it easy!

Read more about my experience here: ZiPhone 2.5 is the Easiest Jailbreak, Unlock, Activation App I’ve Ever Used | Mactropolis.com - Your Friendly Global Mac Community

Would be very interested to hear other experiences w/ this app. No problems from me on this one. Great to use!

Kudos, James.... tried this beauty today and it works like a charm... average 4 Minutes after starting I was there with a jailbroken and activated iphone working on all the new features.... VERY impressive, compared to the hassle You had to manually jailbreak Your phone with all the tools You needed for 1.1.1, 1.1.2...

I can only recommend this tool as well (btw, it's now 2.6.1 with improved ipod touch jailbreak)- supposedly this is the closest You'll ever get to an idiot-proof jailbreaking method...

ZiPhone and iJailBreak

Excellent mat, glad you tried it out.

Yeah, I can't believe how easy and simple it is to use. I tend to embrace 'idiot proof' stuff whenever I can, and ZiPhone is exactly that.

iJailBreak has just released a new version (0.6) with support for 1.1.4 on all iPhones and iPod Touches... haven't tried it out but I'm sure it is solid as well.

You can read more about it here:

Yeah, checked that out immediately, but having an iphone I am not yet snobby enough to own an ipod touch as well ;-)...

So other people hopefully will not only appreciate You spreading the word but also contribute some feedback.....

cheers!

Jailbreaking

What does this do?

Is it beneficial for an iTouch?

Yes it is. I used it to jailbreak my 16GB iPod Touch. i used 2.6b, so I have no experience with the newer versions. Also the app store will be released soon anyway haha

hmmm, toucher, I am not completely convinced that the store might initially be thus exciting to the jailbreaking people-

Since the update to 2.0 with strong assurance blocks any jailbreaking and activation I am curious how the story for the iphone version 1 continues...

Apple will surely lure some of the iphone faithful away- those people looking for the 3G feature as well- but all the rest will depend on how Apple designes the transition... I can without problems imagine a way where they treat us jailbreakers as prodigal sons, taking us together with all our beloved but illegal apps and integrate us into app heaven slowly converting us...

the longer the text up there became, the less likely it seems now to me... what do You think?
