12" PB- innovation perfected?

...or WHY THE HECK don't we get an update for a small footprint powerhouse???

I so dearly hope for the late summer/ autumn to bring something more useable than the Macbook Air with an aluminum case- can't compromise on this, I simply can't!!!

Left alone that the PB still does a marvelous job- ok, i hear the vent more often lately and the battery CERTAINLY has seen some better days... but up until now I am not able to switch- neither to bigger footprint Macbook pro nor to anything else...

So, anyone else out there sharing agony?
