Any iPhone 3G apps to make it into a portable harddrive?
I sort of need to copy some pdfs to my iPhone 3G but they are too large to email it to myself on it and view it.
Can anyone help? Thanks. Chad.

I thought you COULD use it as an external hard drive...?
Just like the ipod, I guess not. .... Did a quick search, here you go. Apple iPhone as fully functional External Hard Drive: FAQ |

Hi Chad, Do you have these PDFs on your computer or can you get them on your computer?
The reason I ask is that I use a program from the App store called Filemagnet. FileMagnet for the iPhone and iPod Touch It is a pay application but I consider it affordable for what I need at $4.99 You will need to go to their website and download the mac computer version which is free in order for the programs to work. Say you have a file on your computer that you need on your iphone or ipod touch. Just start filemagnet on your computer. Drag and drop the file you want to transfer to Filemagnet. Then open file magnet on your iphone or ipod touch to begin the transfer to the iphone or ipod touch. Attached is a copy of some files I just transfered using my computer Jeff

Thanks NightFall4. I decided to wait until DataCase finishes their app first, its more like what I need.. Turn your iPhone into a wireless drive with DataCase - The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)

if they are not humongous, you can host them on a free storage type website, then just view them in Safari.
I have a few that are in the 15MB neighborhood that I view this way. Not as elegant as a native app, but in the mean time, a useable solution.
