My husband took me to see it, and not knowing a whole lot about the comic plot(s), and only seeing the other movies, (the Val Kilmer, Michael Keaton, and George Clooney versions) I came out just LOVE, LOVE, LOVING it!!!! Heath Ledger was excellent = funny, dark, and he made me think of Jack Nicholas as the Joker but 1000 times better. I can't wait until the next one!

Yes, Caireen_69 greatly enjoyed the movie as did I. We had a great time at the theater for a Friday evening. We arrived an hour before. The theater people asked us that if we purchased the tickets now to please stand outside the theater and start a line.
Okay, we stepped outside and another group of people showed up, purchased tickets and came out. We all just stood around until we finally lined up against the wall chatting. It was great as everyone was pleasant to talk with around us. By the time they admitted us in the theater the line was stretched around the block. The checked our tickets entering the building and then entering the theater. Talk about security. For the small community we live in I thought it was a bit of overkill, but we tolerated it. I won't go into details about the movie, but I will say that it greatly impressed me. Joker is truly psycho. I hope Christian Bale and Chris Nolan return for a third installment of Batman.
