MobileMe and SMS (Hidden fees)

My teacher just said that one of the hidden AT&T msg fees is every time you do the MobileMe thing it may count as a SMS fee.

Not sure if that's true or not, but I can see it been possible.

And how does he/she knows this? I mean, I haven't heard a single rumour about this until now.

But what if this SMS counts as a special SMS or something like that which it isn't included in the plan? Don't you have this kind of stuff in the US?
Over here, we have txt plans too, but if you send a SMS to a special service or to a contest, this is not a part of the plan, so you'll pay it even if you have free SMSs.
Actually, chadaw said that it counts as a SMS fee, not as a SMS.

Its not saving the day with another $20 / month on top of their $30 / month for so-called unlimited data.

Because he was trying to find out what it would charge for him and his wife to get it. I assume he talked with reputable people. Like I said, its one of those hearsy things. Take it with a grain, but might be something you want to find out if you buy it for that purpose. But the thing is, it does seem doubtful Apple would agree to that, because it would equally look bad on them.

Please delete this thread. I misunderstood my teacher. I asked him his source, and it turns out he was talking about IM not MobileMe.
