New Mactropolis Site Design

What do you folks think of this new design?... am contemplating switching the blogs and forums over to something like this (still needs more work) in the near future...

That looks great. Makes it a little easyer on the eyes

The header section looks a little barren, but I do like the layout. The colors could be a little more vibrant? Just slightly.

I really like the new logo. Blue is a great change and makes it seem more "apple-esque".

The "Join Us" space is great. The part about free catches peoples eyes and then they read on and see the word benefits, which there are many, and it makes them curious. Voila! More members! Great Idea.

It's not that big of a deal but i like how the dates of the blogs are larger. I like how you used the iPhone/iTouch Calendar Icon though. In my opinion, if you enlarged that and put the date in it, that would be cool but change is always good.

I noticed how you deleted some of the sections in the header such as "Icon Vault" and "Mac Classifieds". Thats a good idea to delete the "Icon Vault" and "Widget Warehouse" tabs for now and until we get more entries in that area. As for the "Mac Classifieds", that forum would be great if people would stop spamming it up.

I enjoy the little pictures in the header we have now but i guess they wouldn't flow with the new one so much but its fine.

New search bar = Awesome. The purple bar that the search bar is on looks great also but seems kind of empty. Mabey lower search bar to somewhere and delete purple bar or just add something to it. Idk just suggestions.

Thats it for now because i cant think anymore. My head hurts :S
