My Work Horse

First I like to say I'm a collector. My wife calls me a pack-rat. I tend to have a hard time letting go of my things. I have about nine Macs right now. My oldest is my Quadra 610 while my youngest twins are Mac Mini from 2007.

My Work Horse Computer is Guinevere a Powerbook G4 1.33 ghz that has been maxed out on memory and upgraded to a 100 gb Hard drive.

Now over the years I've accumulated many files that I keep both at the office and at home. I also like to collect gadgets that just look cool.

Anyway, here is my mess of a desk at home in a night shot so you can see the cool glow effect of the gadgets.

Good grief Nightfall hahaha... Ah that's awesome though... Would like to see more pics of what you've got. Part of me still wants to pick up a 'Netwon'. Always wanted one of those.

Well the time that I have been dreading finally happened. My poor Guinevere decided not to start this weekend. No amount of repair from my Mac OS disk, Drive Genius 2, Disk Warrior or Tech Tool Pro would get it working. I was able to get her in Target mode to back up a few files and I do have a full time machine back up from this past Friday.

I was hoping to wait until Apple announced an upgraded 17 inch laptop, but it looks like I will have to order the 15 inch model so I can keep working.

I always hate it when I read news like that, but I suppose it's always coming... nothing you can do to hide from it! My MBP is still holding up fine (fingers crossed), but when the day comes, at least I have a backup system like you, and I'll be able to upgrade to the new MBP without a hitch!
