Virgin Radio UK

For the last 6 months or so (it seems)... I've been trying to tune into Virgin Radio UK (iTunes Radio > Pop > Virgin Radio UK)... but I simply can't connect!

Is there an IP lookup going on here, and if I'm not in the UK they will not let me connect?... I know some UK radio stations do this online, but they often simply ask you to enter a postal code (in which case you enter a UK postal code!)...

Kind of frustrating... Haven't had trouble connecting to any other station... could be that the station is just ultra popular and it's hard to get a connection... but I'm not sure...

Could well be a IP lookup, similar to the BBC's approach. There are proxies based in the UK that you could use to get yourself a UK IP address. I've had to use the opposite approach to get a US IP address to watch NBC, etc content on the web.

I just listened in Au. via their UK web page with no problem , cant check via itunes at present time sorry

Still no dice for me. I'm pretty sure I need to go in through a UK IP address.

Thats is weird , did you try the web page?
I just tried itunes and connected to both of their streams here in Australia. Though it is 4am in the UK so maybe that has something to do with it

Okay I just tried to get it at a different location and this time couldn't get past fetching playlist, couldn't see anything strange in the preferences
