Planning on getting an iPhone? Here's how it will change your life.

1) You will be Mobile and Connected. The iPhone affords you the freedom of being mobile and connected. If you like to travel, or even if you simply don't like staying at home all the time, but prefer to be out alot - the iPhone allows you to stay connected in a number of ways including phone, text, email, internet. You might be thinking: "what about other smartphones?". The difference between the iPhone and most other smartphones is that the iPhone affords you the freedom WITHOUT BEING CUMBERSOME. Frankly, most other devices are too difficult to use to allow you to be (and feel) truly free and connected.

2) You will Stay Smart. The iPhone offers you information at your fingertips. What do I mean? Through the internet browser, podcasts, and audiobooks, you can have access to information almost instantly. You can stay on top of your industry, review products, shop online, get almost any question answered, you can locate the nearest Italian restaurant, or you can simply listen to your favorite book.

3) You can Work Anywhere. This may not apply to everyone, but the iPhone will give you the ability to change your work environment! Being a work-from-home creative-type, one of the ways I stay creative is to change my surroundings - and that may simply mean finding a coffee shop, going to the park, even working in a mall. I can do this because I am connected - I have done conference calls in a coffee shop, arranged my calendar/schedule at a restaurant, even done research on the web in a park. I couldn't do any of these easily with previously owned smart devices.

4) You'll have Entertainment Anywhere. You'll have your media in your pocket which means entertainment is just a few taps away - even if it's just listening to music on your way to work. Whether you workout, ride a train to work, fly often, or just need some down time (wherever you find yourself), the iPhone contains a wonderful, user-friendly media player that will allow you to enjoy your favorite photos, music, and videos.

5) It's Kid-Friendly. Got kids? Yes, the iPhone is so intuitive that my 3 year old son and my 7 year old daughter love using it. I have "education-centric" videos on the device for both of them, as well as music my daughter loves in her own playlist. If your "lifestyle" involves kids, the iPhone will provide time for you and your spouse some quiet or one-to-one time during long (and short!) trips. My iPhone has also kept my son and daughter "patient" while waiting for the dentist or waiting for a table at a restaurant, or deterred from wanting a new toy on shopping trips!

I agree that the IPhone is great, but sort of disagree with your statement with the smartphones. Having experience with the T-mobile dash, MDA II and T-mobile Wing, I can say they are pretty good, but yes the IPhone is the sleakest and probably the easiest one. As I hate Windows now. However there is the plus with having a qwerty key pad on the MDA II and the T-mobile wing. I think the Wing and MDA II would be faster typing.

If it had tethering it would make my life easier. It would be nice to have Microsoft Office on there, like that would happen. Wing and MDA II and other windows mobile phones makes that easy to work on notes, powerpoints and excel on the phone. The IPhone doesn't do that yet.
