Parental Controls?

My roommate's nephew comes over and wants to use our internet on his IPod-Touch. Which is dangerous, he is a early teen. Are there any parental controls or apps I can get to monitor or protect him from sleazy sites?

Well in the 2.0 update, Apple HAS set up parental controls.
If you manage to get your hands on his iPod do the following
1. Settings
2. General
3. Parental Controls
4. Then just turn on the ones you want (explicit material, App store, Safari, etc.)
5. Set up a password
6. Boom!

But you have to wait till June 27th (i think) until the release of 2.0
Hope this helps!

No it will completely disable Safari from being used at all. So when you disable it, it takes the icon off of the home screen until you unlock it.

It will use a pin number password to lock and unlock in the settings.

yeah sorry i forgot to add this. Once you turn on the parental lock for say explicit content, the explicit material will not appear in playlists and such. By disabling safari, it will remove the safari icon from the homescreen and such. This also happens when you enable the locks for the App and Mobile iTunes stores.

So either is enabled or disabled, but you can't just allow them to go to certain websites. All or nothing? Thats sort of crappy.

Yep. Its an all or nothing deal right there. Don't fret yet because the App store might provide an App that does just that!

Well it would be much harder for them to write a program to block certain sites, then to just disable it completely.
