Question Advice needed - iBook G4 14" replacement battery
Can anyone recommend one of the above? Preferably one that doesn't require me to remortgage the house?

Another thing that you can do is to pull the battery apart and just replace the cells. It is only around 30 from batteries plus, and gives you a little pride of doing it.

Wow I've never heard of that, what a cool idea! Have you tried it yourself MD? Any suggestions on how to go about doing this?

apparently that involves soldering onto batteries and i'm not that brave!!!

has anyone tried one of those replacement japanese ibook batteries (a1080 replacements)?

i can't bring myself to spend £80 on a battery! it's just not right!
